Wheelchair    What we do:
Design and manufacture clothing ultimately to reduce the manual labour required through normal dressing conditions.

Our specially designed clothing will enable persons who are confined to wheelchairs, beds or infirm and with limited movement to dress with greater ease while maintaining diginity to the individual through fashionable wear.

This clothing has been cleverly manufactured to appear as smart everyday apparel. However there are important differences. All clothing opens from the back to provide dressing at a seated or lying position. To protect the skin from injury no velcro, studs or buttons are used.

The selected designs have been implemented to reduce the risk for the individual and the carer. Some benefits are:
  • Make dressing easier.
  • Open back garments elminate the need to raise the arms to get the garment over the head or rotate the arms to get them into a sleeve.
  • Reduce the need for manual handling which will in turn lessen the risk of staff back injury, and further decrease the chances of inflicting skin tears on the resident.
  • Make toileting tasks easier.
  • Through comfortable clothing, promote ease of movement for physically infirm people.
  • Maintain the resident's dignity and confidence.
